Pamela Haag, writing for the Big Think blog mentioned this recently and it’s well worth passing along, no matter who you are. I say this because one way or another we all care about our looks, or other people’s looks – albeit to varying degrees – and it’s virtually inevitable that pop culture will influence the standards by which ‘beauty’ is measured. Are you paying attention girls?
Denise Salceda is a model. She knows her industry and she also knows that what ends up on a magazine cover (or featured inside) is a product of much more than just fabulous make-up and proper lighting. I think (by now) we’re all on to the practice of photo-shopping. I imagine it’s the extent and perhaps depth of the practice that Denise has done a superb job of elucidating, with a series of [rather dramatic in some cases] side-by-side before and after photos, courtesy of Celeb Spotlight.
