Misusing the Like button

Dear Internet,

Please don’t ‘Like’ this post just so that I’ll visit your blog, Facebook profile or what-have-you.  If I have said something that resonates and you feel inspired to connect with me, then go ahead and take a moment to say something in the Comments.  It’s so much more meaningful than a ‘Like’ in that it indicates something minus the hidden payload of that all-too-common ulterior motive.
