For the Children

Today’s song is dedicated to the children of the world.  It may not reflect a style of music you’re used to  – 80s rock ballad – but the lyrics ring true…and certainly reflect something I’ve been feeling lately.  Think of this song, performed by White Lion, on behalf of the [now] older generation as a way of saying ‘We’re sorry for what we’ve done to this world.’  Some of us have tried to contribute good, to make things better (some more-so than others).  And the rest have only contributed to the misery.  We’re all partially to blame, even for as little as our own inaction.  This is today’s song, and I dedicate it to all young people.

When the Children Cry

Composed by Vito Bratta & Mike Tramp, from the Pride album
