I wonder how it is that the Earth’s core stays warm? It is filled with Magma, liquid fire and minerals all mixed up…churning, and perpetually hot. What an incredible miracle that it remains so. Doesn’t it seem that hot things always, eventually cool down? A pot of boiling water, a smoldering chunk of fire wood, volcanic lava flows, even giant stars eventually burn themselves out. So what, I wonder, keeps the core of our planet warm? Why doesn’t it, or hasn’t it begun to cool down? Is it happening and we just don’t know it? Or is there some miracle of science or other explanation that gives our planet a perpetual, internal power source?
