Maturity, Age and First Impressions

A look at mature adults, or the appearance thereof

In my observation there are essentially two kinds of mature adult, those that actually are mature and those that have become proficient at ‘projecting the image’ of maturity. It may prove beneficial at various times in one’s life to draw a distinction between the two – and rarely can this distinction be judged based on appearance alone (I believe there’s an old colloquialism that goes here pertaining to a book and cover). The moral here is don’t let impressive appearances or first impressions give too much sway. Give people time to reveal their true character…
they will eventually.

Oh and one other thing. Despite what convention would have you believe, age seems to rarely be a factor here.
