I’ve been playing Morrowind for years now and i have had almost no problems.
Recently i have been downloading mods and adding to this great game. Here the problem comes in. Some topics during conversation become “gray”, meaning the topic cant be clicked on. For example, when I want to complete Caius’s quest where I need Info from The Orc in The mages guild In Balmora, i can’t select the “errand” command, and can’t in effect complete the quest.
I did find a command that can force the topic to become available, but lost it, and can’t find the website again.
I NEED THAT COMMAND!!
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!
Hey Max. Have you visited the forums yet? Your
situation sounds vaguely familiar and I may have a solution for it in my Morrowind Configuration Guide. Visit the Morrowind Stuff folder to the right and it’s a few posts down. In that guide there’s a section toward the end called ‘Deleting Unwanted Quests’ that may be of some assistance. Whether the console command you’re looking for is there I can’t be sure.
What I am sure of is that the experts over at the official Bethesda forums can probably help you get this sorted out. Mods really add a lot to the game but almost always involve working through these little glitches. Some are quick and easy. Others require a little more work.

The command was : AddTopic “topic”
If a newer plugin has the same new topics as your plugin, the newer plugin will “overwrite” your plugin, and the topic in your plugin will never be highlighted and never show up ingame.
I.e. say that you are going to use the topic “together”.
Well I’m not sure how much I helped but you’re welcome. Just glad you got it worked out. I’ve always thought it would’ve been nice had they included a little ‘Delete this quest’ button right there in the journal. Of course, repairing broken quests that you want is another matter.

Dialog line: “We really should stick together”
Resultbox: AddTopic “together”
This solved my “errand” problem.
