Computer troubles are inevitable, but if you have even the slightest ‘do-it-yourself’ in you there are some great resources out there for identifying and troubleshooting common problems. One of the best of the bunch is the Tech Support Center from the venerable Smart Computing magazine. Don’t worry, the Support Center is completely open to the public and can help you drill down to your problem whether it’s a virus, error message, networking problem – you name it. There are even How-To articles written in plain English that will walk you through the solution.  Subscribers to the magazine get an added bonus.  They can call the tech support hotline and speak to a real person (toll free) any time during operating hours.  The tech support center is located in Lincoln, NE.  Now that’s tough to beat.
